Papas Beer in Hendersonville

Great food with big portion and great services. Me and my husband love to go there and we always box the leftover back home. Very good foods.

Zero stars... after explicitly stating no dairy, upon the first and only bite, there was cheese in the burrito. I sent the $9 burrito back and asked for just beans and rice. When the check came I was charged a discounted price of $7 for a burrito I only had 1 bite of and the beans and rice were $2.50 each...🤔. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he discounted the burrito because I had eaten from it and that he could not take it off the bill. NEVER will I do business with this dishonest restaurant again!

The best Mexican food in the area.

Great place to taste the authentic mexican food. Beer is always nice and cold. Service is constantly assisting your needs. Price is good and the food is delicious the only reason this restaurant did not make it to my 5 stars is due to its interior design and because of it I honestly find it a little loud for my taste. Everything else is great to have a nice mexican lunch or dinner with the family and friends. Chicken and stake fajitas are delicious.

Tried their Grilled Chicken Enchiladas and was highly disappointed. The sauce on them had a strange taste and the cheese left much to be desired. Being from Chicago, we have not been pleased with any of the Mexican food here in North Carolina. Spoiled by the great Mexican food from Chi-town I guess.

Called in a to-go order, they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived in 20Minutes and the food still wasn’t ready at 30 minutes. They apparently sent our order home with someone else. When they remade our order and we got home we were missing the salad dressing that we paid extra for.... no dressing period for the salad and we didn’t get the salsa we asked for either. This is the second time we had to wait over 45minutes for a small order and then to have missing items, is very disappointing!!

The food was amazing, and the service was professional and kind. My only issue is they are so busy that they have a separate menu for lunch and dinner. Not all the options or choices are available for lunch. Now please understand this was my first time eating there, and the lunch menu is by no means small. The portions are well worth the cost, I'm not small at all and I still had to ask for a to go plate for a full quarter of my meal. Going back again, my friends and I have already made the date. And I am looking forward to it.

Very good, huge portions, place was packed and still excellent service. They have a salsa bar, yes a salsa bar. I ate all my 125 lbs ir body weight in chips salsa and hot bean dip. Recommend the sizzling enchiladas they include chicken cheese and steak, my husband and I split it and we are still completely stuffed. They are 10.99. Everything in the packed looked amazing!

My family loved the food quality but the service was not that great as my mom's food was cold and it was difficult to get service. My dad had to get up to get service. It was not a pleasant experience.

Arrived on Monday afternoon approx 2 pm. Quickly seated and served. Food is always good and plentiful. Only able to eat 1/2 there was so much. Bought 2 and 1 take out bill was $32 for the 3 chargrilled ckn burritos and 1 sweet tea.

We Donely ever been to another location, this one worked just as nicely! It’s a little smaller and there are less booth tables. But that’s no problem for us!We visited at lunchtime on a Friday in July and we’re seated immediately even with new Covid restrictions. I tried their flautist last time and loved them, so that’s what I got again. I chose shredded beef. It was tender and almost tasted like butter. I love dipping them in their delicious queso.My mother and husband decided to share the dinner size of a chicken and steak fajita. They not only have plenty to share, but plenty to take home for later.My son quickly scarfed down the kids meal cheese quesadilla. So I think he was pretty pleased with that! I know will return again on our next visit to Asheville!

My most favorite Papa's and Beer location. Fast service even when they're busy and the food is always delicious and hot. You never have to ask for refills on drinks or chips. They're on top of their stuff

Food was good. Building itself is not appealing. Before we went in I was a little worried. The other Papa's & beer I went to was more updated and felt nicer and cleaner.

I love this restaurant! We have several Mexican restaurants in the hendersonville area, this one is by far one of my favorites for several reasons. First will be the portion sizes are more than generous, you will definitely either leave with a full stomach or a to go box! Secondly the environment inside the store is great with a friendly staff and authentic feel between the decor an design of the restaurant. Highly recommend for locals an people traveling though.

Wow, wow, wow. 10 stars. We're here on vacation and ordered takeout from Papas and Beer. It was amazing. I had the fajitas and it was all amazing. Everyone loved what they got.

I dine in this great restaurant from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to dine. I visit this place many times. The food is very tasty, the workers are helpful and the charge is fair. I like going in this spot for a rich dinner.

The staff were all very nice. My dish was good but a bit overcooked. My wife had pulled beef tacos and the meat was dry so she only took a couple of bites. We sent it back but they didn't take it off the check. I've eaten at the other Pappa's and Beer locations around Asheville and those spots had better food. Overall disappointed.

Beware of Overcharging!We have been weekly customers for over 10 years. Recently, since the take-out only due to the virus they have "raised their prices". Every item we ordered was raised exactly $2. When questioned the man at the counter was very rude and said, " that's an old menu, we've raised our prices". They had nothing written anywhere with the "new prices". The lady in there at the time was very friendly and told him to give back the difference they overcharged. He begrudgingly did give back a flat amount not including the extra tax. I feel like they can charge whatever they want to but the correct prices NEED to be listed on the menu so the customer can decide if they want it or not. This has happened to everyone of our friends and family that has ordered take-out during this difficult time. Papa's & Beer, you should be ashamed.

The inside is not open yet. Patio tables are available for dine in. If you like fajitas they are outstanding, great flavors.

Ordered my Carnita fajita well done and they were not. My husband's order was perfect. I understand it is under new management, you could tell the boss lady was not there. Service very slow at 3pm in afternoon

This was an amazing experience and it is definitely worth the trip. The yellow piece of the cornbread was a great side piece that added some authenticity. The lime cucumber drink (Not pictured) was great.

We had to wait 40 minutes to get our food, carry out. They came out twice and said we are checking on your order, 10 minutes apart...my guess is they didn't our order in. There were at least 25 people who had ordered or called in food and picked it up before we got our food. You think they would have been apologetic, nope not in the least.

I'm visiting from Florida. My brother has brought me here to eat twice when I was up. Very good food. Very friendly and efficient staff love it. I had shrimp tacos this time. 😋

Good food worth the wait

We’ve lived a lot of places that had a Papas and Beer but this location is the best!! Don’t let the modest outside appearance fool you!! Come on in to some of the best food you will ever eat!! Awesome staff too!!! Love this place!!!

A little cramped with music a tad too loud. However, the food was great and PLENTIFUL! The server was courteous and attentive without being “buggie .” The food took longer than other Mexican restaurants I’ve been to, but I take that as the cook staff prepared it fresher and with more care. Ample parking and easy to find. If you like Mexican food, this place is well worth a visit.

On line order really late they do not care about pick up orders food so so like most of the mexicans

My favorite Mexican restaurant by far. Great food, large portions (makes more than one meal for me) good price. We take eat there every week. I've eaten at the different Papas n Beer in the area and this one is definitely my favorite.
